Playing with Phoebe

Before I forget, during the first month, on days when you are not sick, you would often go to the cot and play with Phoebe. You would drag the stool over to the cot, sit there and sing and talk to her. More often than not, you would grab her arm and wave it up & down. And we would have to quickly stop you before you get too rough and break Phoebe's arm. We had to tell you several times too. Sometimes, we would find Phoebe in an awkward position because you had pulled the cloth, that acts as her pillow, nearer to the edge of the cot, so that Phoebe is nearer to you and you can play with her. It was pretty amusing.

As phoebe is older, you often make her laugh by laughing. She responses well to you laughter than ours. Maybe it is because you are the one who engages her more. Our favourite was playing memory game. You would play the game and when there was a match, you would show it to her and say, “Phoebe, it’s the same!” And starts to laugh. Then phoebe will follow suit. I think phoebe is more amused at your tone than the actual content. That was our favourite moments together and I’m glad we have many videos of it.

Recently, phoebe started eating pumpkin purée and I was so heartened to see how you wanted to feed phoebe. It was such a heartwarming act.

However, you didn’t like it that phoebe keeps playing and touching your toys although you are not using them. That, I hope you will learn soon.
