It is a suspect all along that because you can sense a new addition coming, you have been wanting to sleep with us at night.
It happens from when we put you to sleep in your own room but you would consistently wake up at 3am to climb unto my bed. You didn't allow me hold your hand and walk back to your room. Then you would toss and turn on the bed, trying to fall asleep and when you can't, I have to get up and make milk for you. After that, you would fall back asleep, on our bed, in between us. But it got too uncomfortable because you kept turning your body and kicking me. At times, I have to ask dad to go sleep in your room.
We tried another solution where we carried your mattress to our room and asked you to sleep on it, while in the same room as us. It only worked for 2 nights. During those nights, you also woke up in the middle of the night, climbed onto my bed, and asked for milk. So disruptive to my sleep.
In the end, we gave up. I let you sleep with me on my bed and now dad is permanently sleeping on your mattress in the same room. And you literally took your space enjoyably with multiple position. And with you sleeping on the bed now, you don't wake up at night, I get a fuller sleep and you get a full sleep too. That's great.
But I certainly hope it's not permanent and that you would go back to your room/mattress one day. Hopefully when the baby is out. It's so cramp now. Not much walking space.
